Brazilian TV presenter Silvio Santos looks back on his arduous journey after a troubling diagnosis.

1988. Silvio Santos, one of the biggest presenters on Brazilian television, is diagnosed with a serious problem with his vocal cords, which will leave him voiceless. The fear of being forced to leave the stage brings back memories of his trajectory: from his childhood as a street hawker to his struggle to obtain the SBT TV channel concession during the military dictatorship.
